Gregory P. Schermer

President,  Board of Directors

Gregory Schermer

Greg joined the Genesis Philanthropy Board in 2017 and assumed the President’s role a year later. His volunteer service and generous financial support for community healthcare extends more than three decades. Greg served on the Genesis Foundation Board from 1994 – 2007 and is a member of both the President’s Circle of Care and Genesis Legacy Society.

Genesis Philanthropy benefits greatly from Greg’s extensive background in digital media and strategic planning. Before retiring from Lee Enterprises in 2016, Greg was the Vice President-Strategy. He currently serves on the Lee Enterprises Board of Directors and is also active on the Quad City Symphony Orchestra Board.
